What this site is

Reading With ADHD publishes tool reviews, reading methods, and book recommendations. It is journalism and practical advice about reading. It is not medical advice, psychological treatment, diagnosis, or therapy, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

No diagnosis, no treatment

Nothing here can tell you whether you have ADHD or any other condition. If you recognise yourself in these pages and it is affecting your work, study, relationships, or wellbeing, talk to a doctor or a qualified clinician. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line in your country.

How we handle evidence

When a page makes an empirical claim — about audiobook comprehension, dyslexia-specific fonts, bionic reading — it states what the research shows and where the research is thin or absent. Where evidence is missing, the page says so instead of implying certainty. Reading strategies that work for us are described as strategies, not as clinically validated interventions.

Medication and clinical care

We do not discuss medication choices, dosing, or treatment plans, and we do not compare treatments. Those conversations belong with your prescriber.

Questions and corrections

If a page overstates something, tell us and we will correct it within 72 hours and log the change. Our standards are on editorial policy and the scoring system is at how we test.

Questions

Can this site diagnose ADHD?

No. Diagnosis requires a qualified clinician who can assess you directly.

Are your method pages treatment?

No. They are reading strategies. They sit alongside care, not in place of it, and nothing here should replace a clinician's guidance.

Why cite research at all then?

Because claims should be checkable. We name what evidence exists, say when it is thin, and never dress preference up as proof.
